Therefore a whole new area of hunting has opened up and thanks to companies like Trijicon we’ve got product that has become more user friendly to increase our chances of success. We recently spent sometime in the field with the new Trijicon IR-HUNTER® thermal riflescope. This model is a small, light, powerful thermal riflescope that lets you engage targets in any light. We all noticed right away the compact size made it more desirable to carry than other models we’ve used in the past. The next thing we noticed was the ease of operation to mount it and sight it in. Simply put it didn’t take us 30 minutes from the time we read the directions, mounted the thermal to our rifle and had it sighted in. We felt much of this is based on how Trijicon has always evolved to make their products better for the end user. Once in the field it didn’t take long to be able to understand the operations of all the controls despite there being no light to see how to use the product in the field. It was a simple as adjusting knobs on the sides and top and reading the menu to find the right settings for the hunt. We spent several minutes cycling through different settings with ease to find what fit the moment the best. So regardless of what setting you like, what reticle fits your eye and what magnification you prefer for that moment it’s right at your finger tips. Lastly the addition of the onboard DVR to be able to record all the action is a huge asset in todays world of sharing content on a variety of platforms. You can see the hogs running in, rabbits, cows, deer and more all moving about and share it with your buddies and fans. The new Trijicon IR HUNTER is a winner.
