2025 Championship

On May 22 & 23, 2025, 400 of the top collegiate anglers in the country will be competing in this no-entry fee event and will take home thousands of dollars in prizes, and triple points towards the coveted Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia race. This year marks the 20 th Anniversary of the Association of Collegiate Anglers (ACA) and the Collegiate Bass Fishing Series presented by Bass Pro Shops! This is a major milestone for our organization, student anglers, and supporting partners.

Please read through this angler packet and rules completely for all information regarding the event. Register ON-LINE before the cutoff date of Wednesday, May 7 th .

From the very first Collegiate Bass Fishing Series Championship trophy that was hoisted over the collegiate anglers’ heads 20 years ago, the prestige and excitement of earning this National Champion title has been real, intense, and sought after by a growing number of collegiate anglers each year – join us as we crown our 20 th Championship Team! 20 Years of National Champions

• Registration closes Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 6:00pm EST

• Two-day, team tournament. A team consists of two anglers fishing from the same boat.

• Permission must be granted by the Tournament Director in order for any angler to fish alone.

• Off-limits begins on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at 12:00am local time. The first official practice day will be Sunday, May 18, 2025, at safe light.

Tournament Format

• All school clubs qualify to register one (1) two-angler team for the Championship. Schools may qualify to send additional teams by competing in ACA events, being in the Top 25 for School of the Year, or being a past Champion. Read Complete Qualification Criteria Here.

• Winners will be determined by the heaviest accumulated weight per team. The three highest fishing teams for each college/university will earn School of the Year points.

Each Angler must read and abide by the official Championship Rules!

Registered anglers can practice from safe light to sundown on Sunday-Tuesday and from safe light to 3:00pm local time on Wednesday.

Nationally Televised Send us your video footage! Be sure to document your travels to Lake Hartwell, your preparations for the Championship, and points of interest on your campus. We’ll accept all digital formats – with more television coverage than any other collegiate bass fishing trail, we may very well use your video footage in one of our shows or on-line video clips! Travis Ely Memorial Scholarship

All-Academic Team Presented by Yamaha Throughout the year, the ACA rewards anglers for success in the classroom; at the 2025 Championship, one angler will be named the top Academic All American.

presented by Abu Garcia The top team of the 2024-2025 season will be awarded the coveted School of the Year title when the season wraps up in early June 2025.

The first scholarship in memory of Purdue University angler Travis Ely will be awarded to one angler who gives back to their community as much as they love to fish.
