LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

Spring is in the air and summer isn’t too far away for those of us in Texas…for those of you up north, you’re still shov- eling snow and for that I’m sorry! With all that in mind, we’ve been fishing and turkey hunting all over while test- ing a lot of new gear, spending time in the field with old and new friends alike and as always, traveling from one end of the nation to another. Recently I’ve been on many fishing adventures and have many stories to tell – while they were all exciting experi- ences, we have had our ups and downs when it comes to fishing, but never forget that everyday spent fishing is a great day! We’ve seen a few great catches on Choke Can- yon and are excited to see that body of water bounce back. We’ve caught plenty of smallmouth recently on Bull Shoals and Table Rock where we’ve supported the Cabela’s Club Experience and Legends of Golf events. College fishing wise, flooding has us way behind as both Sam Rayburn and Kentucky Lake events had to be rescheduled, but rest assure the granddaddy of all college bass fishing events, the BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship pre- sented by Bass Pro Shops, is less than a month away! Not to be forgotten is all the hard work operating and shooting the Texas Team Trail, National Walleye Tour and IFA Red- fish Tour events by our team. On the turkey hunting side of things, we hosted the 2nd Annual Yamaha Turkey Bass Smash event recently, as well as an all ladies writers event with Thompson/Center. Not to be forgotten was a quick trip to the Bass Pro Shops U.S. Open Bowfishing Championship as well that is also featured in this issue. As always, I’m sure I’m forgetting something, so until I remember it I hope to see you on the water or in the woods soon!
